Installing the beta
You'll get here from the invite email. Pick your platform below — the steps differ, and the Android one has an order that matters.
What to expect
- Beta builds are pre-release. Things break, and occasionally data resets.
- Updates arrive every week or two while we're testing.
- You can leave at any time — uninstall the app and unsubscribe from the emails.
Install it
iPhone & iPad
Apple distributes betas through TestFlight, a separate free app from Apple. You install it once and it handles every beta you're in.
- Install TestFlight Open the App Store, search for TestFlight, install it. It's made by Apple and it's free. You don't need to open it yet.
- Open the link in our invite email Tap it on the iPhone or iPad you want to test on. It opens TestFlight on Lexum's page.
- Tap Accept, then Install Lexum lands on your home screen. An orange dot next to the name means it's a TestFlight build — that's normal.
- Updates come through TestFlight Not the App Store. TestFlight notifies you when a new build is ready; open it and tap Update.
Android
Android testing is closed, which means the test is tied to the Google account whose address you gave us. Getting this wrong is the single most common reason the app won't install.
- Check which Google account you're signed in with It has to be the same address you joined the beta with. If your phone is signed in with a different Google account, the next step won't work — write to us and we'll add the right one.
- Open the opt-in link in our invite email It opens a Google Play page that says you've been invited to test. Tap Become a tester. Nothing installs at this step — it only enrols you.
- Install from Google Play Use the download link on that same page, or the Play Store link in our email. If Play says the app isn't available, give it ten minutes — enrolment takes a moment to propagate.
- Updates come through Play as usual Same as any other app. You'll see Lexum marked as a test version on its Play page.
If something goes wrong
The invite email never arrived
Check spam first. Then check that you clicked the link in the confirmation email we sent when you joined — unconfirmed addresses never reach the invite queue.
Android: Play says the app isn't available, or can't find it
Almost always the wrong Google account, or enrolment hasn't propagated. Confirm you tapped Become a tester with the same account you signed up with, then wait ten minutes. If it still fails, write to us with the Google address you want on the list.
iOS: TestFlight says the beta is full
We've hit Apple's tester cap for that round. Your spot isn't lost — reply to the invite and we'll get you into the next one.
The app stopped opening, or asks me to update
TestFlight builds expire after 90 days. Open TestFlight and install the latest build; if there isn't one, tell us and we'll push a fresh one.
Telling us something's broken
Reply directly to the invite email — during the beta it comes straight to us. You can also use Support inside the app, which attaches the details we need to reproduce a problem.
